There are many different types of depression, I don’t want to dive into the topic because I do have a precise idea about depression but this is not the right post in which explain it, so take my idea as it is. He shows all symptoms of an “active” type of depression. These are basically his “basic” personality traits that he maintains for the whole storyline in FFVII AND in FFVII Advent Children.
